March 20th: Happy First Day of Spring from the barbaric northland!
This is the coldest first day of spring in over 40 years. It’s also “the last coldest day of the winter,” according to meteorologist Paul Huttner. He also says, “The increasing daylight will eventually lead to warmer days, melting snow, and temps that will finally end this barbaric deep freeze we call March 2013.” Who would’ve guessed that March 2013 would be called a barbaric deep freeze? But there is hope!
